The spindle of CNC Wood Router is divided into water-cooled spindle and air-cooled spindle. Some customers don’t know how to choose when choosing. Let’s briefly analyze the advantages and disadvantages of the two-axis spindle;
In terms of motor control methods, both water-cooled and air-cooled motors use nails to rotate around coils. Almost all water-cooled spindles are controlled by frequency conversion, while air-cooled spindles can be controlled by frequency conversion or constant frequency. The difference between the two is also quite large.
1. The cost of water-cooled spindle is lower than that of air-cooled spindle.
2. The water-cooled spindle should pay attention to maintenance (service life), change the water frequently or use an industrial water cooler, while the air-cooled spindle is cooled by its own fan. The use of air-cooled spindles in the northern region can avoid freezing of the spindle cooling water in winter.
3. Water cooling is the use of water circulation to cool the heat generated by the high-speed rotation of the spindle (radiation performance). This effect is very good, because the temperature of the water after circulation will not exceed 40 degrees, and the air-cooled spindle uses a fan to dissipate heat, and its effect is definitely not as good as water cooling.
4. The water-cooled spindle basically has no noise (noise). But the air-cooled spindle is loud.
